Course Description

This accelerated learning environment helps you acquire hands-on skills for on-premise and cloud environments and prepare you for the MCSE: Data Platform certification exams. The questions on the MCSE: Data Platform exams include content covering both versions of SQL Server 2012 and 2014. This extended-hours boot camp, led by senior Global Knowledge instructors, includes targeted lectures using Microsoft Learning recommended content and twelve-month access to over 30 hands-on remote labs. This boot camp includes all the certification exam vouchers required for certification, along with one free retake voucher for each exam, if needed. It also includes access to our Microsoft Boot Camp Exclusives, providing indispensable certification exam prep. Although not required to attend this boot camp, it should be noted that in order to qualify for the MCSE: Data Platform certification, candidates must either hold or obtain an MCSA: SQL Server 2012 certification as well.

Prerequisites

  • MCSA: SQL Server 2012 certification or equivalent knowledge
  • Three years of hands-on experience working in a SQL Server environment
  • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Windows operation system and its core functionality

  • The technical skills required to develop Microsoft SQL Server Databases including database objectives, logical table design, indexing, query plans, procedure coding
  • The knowledge and skills to design solutions for Microsoft SQL Server including how to plan and design a database structure, storage, objects and servers along with how to design and monitor high performance, highly available data solutions, data migration, security and scalability
  • Key topics and concepts addressed in the exams 70-464: Developing Microsoft SQL Server 2012 and 70-465: Designing Database Solutions for Microsoft SQL Server 2012
