In this course, you will learn how System and Session Manager are configured and maintained. Lectures and hands-on labs are combined to help you understand and perform day to day operations on both products. You will learn how System Manager users are defined and maintained, how data is imported and exported, how SIP users are configured and registered, how Session Manager routes calls across the SIP network, how both Avaya and third-party applications are networked with Session Manager and more.

  • System Manager users
  • How user profiles are synchronized with external LDAP directories
  • Use System Manager to discover other Avaya products in the telephony network
  • Use System Manager to apply licenses to other Avaya products
  • View alarms and logs to identify events that have occurred in the telephony network
  • Use System Manager to import and export data
  • SIP domains, network locations, SIP entities, entity links, routing policies, dial patterns, regular expressions, and adaptations needed so Session Manager can route calls across the SIP network
  • Register SIP phone users
  • Use the traceSM and Call Routing tools
  • Session Manager host table
  • Named and Sequenced Applications so that Avaya and 3rd party devices can be networked with Session Manager
  • Perform the configuration needed so that Communication Manager can be administered via System Manager
